A Camel's Portrait

A Camel's Portrait

But now I found out that adding a meaning by a title or description adds more value to the picture.
I was surfing for photos on flickr and found a plain black picture for a good photographer. It caught my attention and wondered what it meant! The photographer was just feeling sad that day!

It was a plain black picture, but to me as a viewer; it meant alot.

As for this camel's picture, I googled the word camel for some quotes, and would like to share some:

- "A camel makes an elephant feel like a jet plane"
Jackie Kennedy

- “The Arabs are a backwards people who eat nothing but Camel dung”
Winston Churchill

- "When I take action, I'm not going to fire a $2 million missile at a $10 empty tent and hit a camel in the butt. It's going to be decisive"
George W. Bush

- “A camel looks like a horse that was planned by a committee.”

This year it was different. I have accomplished something I've been waiting for so long. I had my first manual macro shot of my favorite flower.
I spent time with people who made a difference in my life last year.

Thank you Maha for being there when you were hungry and tired. It meant alot.

Battery Cap

My 5200 Nikon battery cap has been broken for long, around 2 years. Since then, I've been asking Ashraf when ever I passby there to fix it. They say that they have to take it to their workshop which is located somewhere far far away and that the time of fixing is estimated at about 2 weeks or more!

That is a long time. I carry my camera in my handbag where ever I go, afraid of missing an event or scene to shoot. I even risked it many times while travelling.

So now since I have my new D80 and since I'm travelling very soon. I decided to sacrifice and give Ashraf my camera. That was on Thursday.

Today, Saturday, I called the workshop, and the guy told me that it's a minor issue and that he might finish it by today or tomorrow!

Back to Ashraf guy...
I just found out that he's a cheat. He doesn't help me much because he wants me to buy a new camera. I just got that. Even when I bought D80, he made a scene for me and my friend and acted like he called his boss in India!!!!! Just to make discount for us. I foolishly baught that.

When I reminded him last Thursday about what he did, he acted like he completely forgot about knowing about our membership in KSC which entitles us for %20 discount. While in truth, we showed him our papers and he even took a copy!

I am sick of getting fooled by sales persons! Getting brain washed for buying a new skin care line is something I know, but I didn't expect it from camera shops too.

Why posting this photo you ask?
I should be Iron headed next time I deal with them.

I'm killing flickr

I don't know what the problem is. I sent them an email, their reply is supposed to take 3 days. I check flickr help forum and people there have many complaints against them.

I just need to be sure what went wrong, that is all! In everything I do over the internet I received a confirmation email, but this is the first time I get nothing.

I am mad.

Addicted

I'm getting addicted to light room. I am still exploring it, I have no background on it's features or on how to enhance a pictures, nor what makes a picture perfect.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I am the beholder, beauty is my photos.

I can judge on others pictures, but just like everything I do in life, I can't judge for myself.
